Covey Rise Mix

Covey Rise is a mix of 3 to 5 foot, heavy grain-bearing sorghums, with bright fall colors. This blend provides super food value & great habitat structure! It is the most eye-pleasing winter food and cover available for birds, and creates great hunting habitat. Pheasants and quail love it. And, if you are trying to conserve winter food for your birds, Covey Rise is a bit less attractive to deer and turkeys that can clean out food plots. Big game, however, will happily dine on Covey Rise when conditions get tough, and other food sources are exhausted!! A 25 lb. bag of this exclusive PF formulation plants 4-5 acres, and Covey Rise can be established with standard planters, grain drills or broadcast seeders. Plant each spring at 5-6 lbs per acre when ground temperatures warm to 60 degrees.
